POLICIES & PROCEDURES Photo372

1: If you did not take the required prerequisites
for this course you must see instructor.
2: Late assignments will be penalized one grade
per class day (week).
3: Do not bring friends or children to the lecture
portion of class. You may bring them to photograph.
4: Studio Usage: you must sign up in advance to use the studio on the instructors calendar . The studio
is here for use for a learning environment. Do not
use studio for commercial purposes.
5: Treat equipment with respect. Misuse or
carelessness may result in being dismissed from
class. Always have instructor or T/A to turn on
lighting equip. Do not use remote for strobes!
6: Photos taken on campus cannot be nude, semi-
nude or in any way revealing.
7: Please try to be on time as it is a disruption for whole class.
8: LAB TIME: The lab is open from 7-9:20 pm
(when we start clean-up). If you used any equip.
in lab or studio, you are expected to clean that
space and, put away that equip. You are expected stop working at 9:20, or times will be altered.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
9. Computer & print rooms are off limits to students in this class.....don’t ask.
10. Keep Camera Room/Studio clean and uncluttered
Grades
Final grades will be based on assignments and the
quality of your finished presentation, lab procedures
& class participation are also important.

1: Male or Female Headshot (business portrait), low key with one light and reflector
2: 2 Light portrait male or female.
3: Studio portrait of couple.
4: Outdoor portrait: male or female using light modifiers, black, white or translucent.

5: Childs portrait: indoor serious study. Using Window Light ONLY.
6: Outdoor portrait of family (group of 4 or more).
7: Location portrait in a home of couple or family.
8: Location business portrait, low key using window light and reflector.
9: Portrait in subject’s environment showing something that depicts them. Character Study. Hands required to be in image.
10: Night portrait of couple using existing and artificial light
11: Produce a photo book through My Publisher.com of all of your assignments. Cost approx $15.00
